ladymix: Kate Moss, "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." Oh Miss Moss I very much disagree. Have you had a Safeway sandwich?
We can see Ladymix's feelings about Ms.Moss' statement, but how does it make you feel?
I have to say there are MANY days that I agree with Kate's statement. There are days where you cannot budge me from my willpower and resolve to eat what is good for me rather than what tastes good for a moment. I am not saying that Kate's statement is not somewhat shallow, but I can understand where she is coming from. For many people skinny is a lifestyle that requires giving up simple pleasures for their larger goals. Right or wrong, it does exist.

While there are many things "skinny" tastes better than, there are also a number of things that sometimes taste better than "skinny." (Not that I've tasted "skinny" itself in forever, but I've tasted "skinny-fitter than I used to be" and it's pretty damn tasty.) I'd have to beg to differ on a Safeway sandwich tasting better than skinny, though. ;-)
Let's see ... what tastes better than skinny (at least sometimes)? My wife's brownies, pizza, and lasagna; lemon pound cake; pumpkin cheesecake; fresh homemade whole grain bread (OK, that's not too bad); fried chicken; Red Lobster's cheese biscuits (actually, my wife's fresh, plain biscuits and butter); shall I continue? :) I do love to eat and, frankly, that's one of the reasons I run -- so that I can eat at least some things that taste better than skinny. And, that's why I need to lose 10+ pounds in order to get back to a good running weight. I like the post.
We also need to understand that Kate Moss has smoked for most of her adult life and had a bit of a coke habit so her taste buds are definitely not our taste buds :)
Kate Moss is both hilarious, successful, focused, and an amazingly famous model. Perhaps her quote is rather brilliant and professional considering her profession and success in it.
I too am a model (by no means a Kate Moss) and her quote--in my opinion--...intriguing. I loved it! Off to the gym as usual
(6 days/week). In shape and toned is quite delicious!
