Non-Fitness Announcement

I start a new job on November 30th. I put in my notice with my current employer last week, but they don't know about the new job yet. I was tired of being treated like a second class citizen when they failed to plan and couldn't make publishers do what they requested. The new job involved NO pager, after hours, or weekend commitments. It also doesn't involve marketing, which is disappointing. I have decided to do my marketing and event coordination on a contract basis on the side to stay current and creative. I've done some promo work recently for a few companies and hope to keep leveraging that. That's all for now.

Congrats!!! I think going on contract basis for the marketing and event coordination would probably help you feel like you're more in control of the time lines and such. (Plus you'll be getting paid when a job encroaches on your weekend time.)
Best of luck in your new job and your contracting work!
