Boot Camp and Gluten-Free Update

Boot Camp is going well. We missed one class last week due to the snow and I missed yesterday due to high winds on Sunday that prevented my return from the Mainland. I enjoy the classes, except that we have started to use resistance bands and I am allergic to the rubber. My workaround is to bring full gloves and long sleeve shirts to class for these instances. I have not noticed a drop in weight, but BF has commented that it always makes me look more toned after the first couple of weeks. I have to keep pushing forward I guess. I have a trip to Vegas as the carrot at the end.

Running Clinic started last Thursday and I am very excited for it. This clinic has a number of first time half marathoners and a group of 6 girls going to the same race that I am aiming for with my friend. The first Half on my schedule is in early May, but there is another two that I'd like to do 1 in late June and 1 in early August. We'll see how training goes before I start paying more race fees.

I have been gluten-free now for nearly 3 months. It's hard. I notice that now if I inadvertently have gluten I immediately feel sick or have a pounding headache that doesn't respond to medicine and takes hours to dissipate. My mom has been good about finding me gluten-free treats in her travels and last week appeared with pizza shells made from rice flour, I miss pizza the most so this was a fantastic treat!

Awesome Job hun...I'm following you and wish you posted a bit more often...(like maybe once a week) BUT I understand we all lead busy lives and sometimes cant find the time to post as often as we'd like.....or as often as others would like us to. ;-)
